Entry: Announcing a pregnancy in this day and age Blog: MattS's Blog
That is great Matt. One, that you and Jen are expecting your second child and two, that you are updating your blog again. I told you that I read them and am excited that you are back on the blog pages.
Telling people about our firstborn was through picking out a paint colour for the "baby's" room with my in-laws and I know that I called my Mom right away with both pregnancies with tears running down my face. With our second, we told people more casually.
And, great that your Grandma is computer savvy. Mine is too it just seems like she has forgotten how to drive as she has yet to come in town to see Jake who is 16 weeks today |

| This is hilarious! I suppose figurative language will be out of reach for a few more years. But I friend of mine told me his 3-year-old began to learn jokes in day care. |

| Cool Matt!!
Hey, if she wants to do pairs, I'm sure Cayden would be interested! He seems to be a natural skater, and he's got quite a few figure-skating relatives, too! |

| Tractor tractor tractor tractor tractor tractor truck truck truck truck truck
I know what you're talking about, Matt. All the way home from the city (about 20 minutes?) all I hear is "truck car truck car truck car truck car" - and he's not labelling what is driving by, he's just repeating these two words over and over.
Sometimes he'll throw in a "wowee" to spice it up a bit. I live for a little more spice... |

| It's so funny, Olivia also labels object that 'belong' to others...eg. at the dinner table she was saying, 'bun, bun, bun...' pointed to Jen's bun and said, "mommy bun"...pointed to my bun and said, "daddy bun"...the funny thing is she won't label her bun 'Olivia bun'. If asked she will just say 'no' or every once in a while she will refer to herself as 'baby'...she will not say her name! |

| Olivia is what they call a "labeller" in speech development terms. These children acquire language very rapidly, pick up new words easily & learn them through repetition. My niece Robyn is a labeller, too. I remember her visiting with my sister around 2 years of age. The whole time she was naming things & repeating, repeating, repeating! |

Entry: What a *$%@# weekend?! Blog: MattS's Blog
I just read this. I'm a little behind. Anyway, it reminded me of the 6-hand poop of Tom's in the tub - thankfully he likes his butt out of the water to poop, but I was literally hand-over-fist putting loads into the toilet and he just kept pooping!
Our tub needed cleaning too. My pants stayed clean though. |
