Literally! We had a grand achievment at our house this weekend - Olivia used her potty
It was not the 'ideal' situation, but what really is when it comes to a subject such as potty training?
It started in the tub. I was giving her a bath and she stood up saying something "poop". Not an unusual thing in itself. As she often says she needs to use her potty but then when I put her on it she runs away.
This time however, she would not sit back down. I was like, "do you want out to use your potty?"
Her answer, "poop"...and she handed me a nice little log of poop?!
I grabbed it and threw it in the toilet, turned back to take her out and was met with another present, another handful!
Tricky situation, so typical guy I yell for Jen.
The next moment, with my hands full (don't ask with what), Olivia tries to get out of the tub...smear, smear!
Jen comes in and we work on the situation. I start clearing the tub, as we are going to need bath #2 soon. Jen puts Olivia on her potty.
I run to get the camera (after washing my hands, of course) and we capture the event! I mean, this is a big accomplishment in her life!
While trying to get a good picture of Olivia beside her potty she starts to lose her balance and needs a balancing pole, so she grabs my leg...needless to say, I had to change my pants after.
Then Olivia says something like 'poop'...and our floor now has to be mopped up.
Funny how things change. We are clapping and praising Olivia for what may appear to be a big mess. But, I don't think we could have been much prouder?
Then she said, 'pee'...and we needed another towel
