With the change in the weather I have no idea if I should be sending Ethan to school in snow pants, it's -1 at the moment, or splash pants, it's suppose to go up to 6 or 7 today.

What is everyone else doing?

We did splash pants yesterday Smile
They are warmer ones that are lined and a fleece lined spring/rain coat with hat and mitts!!
It is hard in this weather to know how to dress them for school..drives me crazy!!

We're having the same issue this morning. I think we've decided on lined splash pants. I'm going to still put a winter coat on her though.

I was at the school yesterday afternoon and most kids didn't have anything but I've been sending the boys in splash pants. The weather's still too unpredictable and everything is soooo mucky. For coats, I've been layering them with sweathshirts and lighter (not spring) jackets.

This was my thought too. Unfortunately I don't have splash pants for him that fit, so I'm off to buy some this morning and then drop them off before morning recess.

Thanks everyone for the quick responses!

Same here, dd who is in JK went wearing her Columbia winter jacket and no pants. I wasn't sure what to do because we don't have splash pants! I did send her snowpants with her just incase and I will be getting some splash pants tonight hopefully!

Anyone know where I can find some pink ones?

Just to go off topic a bit here. What exactly are splash pants? I am assuming weater resistent outer layer and fleece layer inside, so like lined rain pants. Also any suggestion on where to get them for a 2 year old.

They have them at Sears....I saw them in Navy or Pink for sizes up to 5T I believe. Not sure that they are fleece lined though and I am not sure if they got them for bigger kids.

I was at DSs school today and the yard is mud from all the melting snow. I am going to continue to send splash pants to keep his regular pants clean and dry even though I don't think the temp. calls for it.

I picked up a pink pair at Bonnie Toggs for $9.95 (I think). They had pink, light purple and Navy.

WalMart has lined (pink) splash pants for $8

Last year I got unlined (pink) splash pants at Loblaws for $8 as well.
